  1. Have just logged onto your site. I live on Lubbesthorpe Road and knew nothing about a meeting at the Civic Centre on 21st June!!! When/where was this advertised? Is not letting people know of the meeting a way for them to say that nobody objects to the development.

  2. Hi, we only knew on Tuesday! Apparently their website only advertised it on Monday. We were informed by a local businessman about it. How many people attended? In the hour our secretary was there only 2 members of the public were present - him and the guy who told us....

Braunstone Town Council are against the development but don't seem to care about raising this issue. It is something we have come across a lot and its certainly not just BTC. Other parish councils have buried their heads in the sand and acted completely ignorant of what is happening. Remember this is the SECOND consultation. What about the one last year?

We have been extremely lucky that LFE Parish Council have been vocal and have communicated to the residents (they delivered their own leaflet to all the houses in lfe). LFE is just as badly affected as Thorpe Astley and Enderby and yet in comparison their respective councils have done nothing.

Come to our event on Monday or Tuesday and you can speak to us over this issue. It is something we are trying to rectify - getting people to put pressure on those bodies who are not doing enough.

Also it is important to point out that Blaby District Council (the planning authority which ultimately makes a decision).are refusing to hold public events...
